The Gplus Communication Server for Siebel CRM has been updated to correct an issue related to GenCommDrv and its ability to handle a particular log-message situation. Previously, if the severity level for logged messages was set to DEBUG (the option LogLevel was set to 1 in the GenCommDrv.ini file), and the logged event's content that was to be sent to Siebel was greater in size than 10 Kbytes, GenCommDrv failed. Previously, the Adapter working in backup mode reported a Service Unavailable status to the Solution Control Interface. This problem has been fixed. The Adapter now correctly reports a Started status to the Solution Control Interface. (ER# 211549544)

Genesys Communication Server reported a Running status to LCA before it was ready to process requests. This problem has been fixed. Now Genesys Communication Server reports a Service Unavailable status until it is able to process requests from the Genesys Communication Driver. (ER# 198156258)


Since version 7.2.000.33, no access was available for the route method in the Genesys Communication Driver library. This problem has been fixed. (ER# 196832774)

Previously, the new configuration parameter InactivityTimeout was mandatory. Because of backward compatibility, it has been made optional with a default value of 0 (no inactivity timeout). (ER# 182474811)


Previously, the Gplus Communication Server terminated unexpectedly when under a high network load while receiving a Response error or Delivery error. This problem has been fixed. It has also been corrected in the Gplus Adapter for Siebel CRM Voice component, version 7.2.000.32. (ER# 177653112, 179956126, 179518744)


Previously, the CommSession Manager terminated unexpectedly when two agents tried to simultaneously login and logout in a very short period of time. This problem has been fixed. (ER# 177648085)

Multiple instances of the Gplus Communication driver on the same host attempted to use the same log file. As a result, only the first instance of the driver was able to create a log file. A new parameter MaxClientConnections has been added to the Gplus Communication Driver (GenCommDrv.ini file), and the Gplus Communication Server (HTTP section of the application object in Configuration Manager). This parameter allows you to define the maximum number of client connections per URL separately from the number of server connections. The default value for MaxClientConnections is 30.

The Gplus Communication Driver, when used with multiple configurations/profiles, used PrimaryGenCommServerURL and BackupGenCommServerURL from the first configuration/profile and ignored these parameters in subsequent configurations/profiles. This problem has been corrected. (ER# 159720531)


The default value of the ReadMessageTimeout parameter in the HTTP section of the GenCommServer application object has been changed from 10000 to 30000. This reduces the chances of a timeout error while delivering events to busy Siebel servers.


The parameter MaxThreads in the GenCommDrv.ini file has been renamed to MaxProcessingThreads to make it consistent with a similar parameter in the HTTP section of the Gplus Communication Server application object.


The parameter ReadTimeout in the GenCommDrv.ini file has been renamed to ReadMessageTimeout to make it consistent with a similar parameter in the HTTP section of the Gplus Communication Server application object. The default value of this parameter has been changed to 30000.

Under high call volume, the Gplus Communication Server left an excessive number of sockets in the TIME_WAIT state, which may have led to a Too many open files error. The relevant Gplus Communication Server algorithm was optimized, which significantly reduces the number of sockets in the TIME_WAIT state. This problem has also been corrected in the Genesys Gplus Adapter for Siebel CRM Voice component, version 7.2.000.25. (ER# 136261871)

This release of the Genesys Gplus Communication Server for Siebel CRM requires deployment of version 7.2.000.15 (or higher) of the Genesys Gplus Adapter for Siebel CRM Voice component.


Genesys Gplus Communication Server started spawning multiple threads and consumed 100% of resources for one CPU during handling of a voice call if more than one agent session was created for the same place (teleset), or if the same DN was configured on more than one place (an incorrect and unsupported configuration). This problem has been corrected. (ER# 92978556)


Gplus Communication Server/Driver did not allow use of the same Siebel CTI Configuration for multiple Siebel Communication Servers running on multiple hosts. This limitation has been resolved in this release. The parameter SCAPIServerURL is optional. If this parameter is defined, then Gplus Communication Driver will replace the host name specified there by the current host name (the host where Gplus Communication Driver is running). If the SCAPIServerURL parameter is not defined, then Gplus Communication Driver will create it using the current host name and a default port value of 19000. (ER# 99234421).


On Solaris platforms, switchover of the Gplus Communication Server when agents are logged in sometimes led to blocking of agentsí work and required a restart of Siebel. This problem has been corrected. (ER# 99671751)

All campaign-related toolbar buttons are disabled when an agent works on a previously-requested preview record at the same time a campaign is stopped and unloaded, making it impossible to process an active preview record.

Workaround: Set the CTI profile Service:OCSEnableOutOfCampaignOperations parameter's value to true. This parameter is used to preview record transfers for the non-campaign agents. See the Gplus Adapter 7.2 for Siebel CRM Deployment Guide for more information. This option enables the appropriate buttons for agents, who have not started a campaign, but have a preview record.
