Introduction

This release note applies to all 7.5 releases of Gplus Adapter for Siebel CRM Configuration Synchronization Component.

• Links in the Contents section enable you to access information regarding a specific release. Releases are listed by version number rather than in date order. For this reason, a recent release may be listed after earlier releases, if the version number is lower. Except when otherwise noted in the information for a specific release, each release includes all of the features and corrections that were introduced for the applicable operating system at earlier dates, regardless of the version numbering.
• The Release Number table lists the supported operating systems for each release at a high level. For more detailed information, see the Genesys Supported Operating Environment Reference Guide.
• The Known Issues and Recommendations section is a cumulative list. It includes information on when individual items were found and, if applicable, corrected.
• The Corrections and Modifications section for each release may list additional issues that were corrected without first being documented as Known Issues.
• The Discontinued Support section is cumulative. It lists functionality that is no longer supported and the release number of the version in which support was discontinued.

Note: Genesys follows applicable third-party redistribution policies to the extent that Genesys solutions utilize third-party functionality. Please contact your Genesys Customer Care representative if you have any questions.

Supported Operating Systems

New in This Release

There are no restrictions for this release. This release does not contain any new features or functionality.

• Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012 was added on May 5, 2015.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following correction or modification:

The Adapter now correctly retains the ExternalUserID and the contents of the Annex tab when it synchronizes with the Person object. Previously, it cleared these fields when performing this action. (ER# 240224082)

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:

Previously on AIX, the Adapter did not work properly. Most notably, the GenCommServer component stopped responding during the reconnection between the GenCommDrv and GenCommServer components. This problem was caused by an AIX compiler issue, and resulted in an optimization option being excluded. This problem has been fixed. (ER# 194896293)

Previously, the Adapter did not include the PersonFolders and SkillFolders option values in the log. This problem has been fixed. (ER# 212525832)

Previously, the Adapter stopped responding after reconnecting to the Configuration Server. This problem has been fixed. (ER# 215594275)

Corrections and Modifications

Previously, the Adapter did not synchronize DNs if ConvertExt2ACD, which is the User Property of the Genesys Configuration Synchronization Business Service, was set to FALSE. This problem has been fixed. (ER# 196134541)

There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in the initial 7.5 release of the Gplus Adapter for Siebel CRM Configuration Synchronization Component.

• Supports Siebel 8.0.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following correction that was made between Release 7.2 or earlier releases and the initial 7.5 release:

When the agents belonged to the multimedia-only configuration, the telesets and agents were not exported into the Genesys configuration. This problem has been fixed. (ER# 66553261)

Known Issues and Recommendations

This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.

Internationalization

Information in this section is included for international customers.

In a Siebel Server without an American English (ENU) language pack, the "The value entered in field Action Type of buscomp Personalization Action does not match any value in the bounded pick list PickList CT Action type.(SBL-DAT-00225)" error may occur when installing the Adapter�s runtime events (the InstallRunTimeEvents method of the Genesys Configuration Synchronization Siebel Business Service).

Workaround: Manually add the ENU values of the CT_ACTION_TYPE List of Values, as follows:

1. Navigate the Siebel Web Client to Administration-Data/List of Values.
2. Run a query using Type = CT_ACTION_TYPE. The results of this query may contain records for various languages.
3. Select a language. Duplicate each row and set the ENU values in the Display Value column of the duplicated records. The Display Value column should be equal to the corresponding value of the Language-Independent Code column. The value for the Language Name column should be English-American.

The Adapter does not export DNs and Agent Logins in a Siebel Server without an American English (ENU) language pack.

Workaround: Add an ENU record with a COMM_MEDIA_TYPE type and a Voice value to the list of values (LOV) as follows:

1. Navigate the Siebel Web Client to Administration-Data/List of Values.
2. Run a query using Type = COMM_MEDIA_TYPE.
3. Duplicate the Language-Independent Code = Voice row.
4. In the new row, make sure that Display Value = Voice and Language Name = English-American. The ENU value Voice should be used as a channel type of voice driver.
