As of February 1, 2012, Genesys is no longer an affiliate of Alcatel-Lucent; any indication of such affiliation within Genesys products or packaging is no longer applicable. Please see the Genesys website at http://www.genesyslab.com for more details.

This release note applies to all 7.6 releases of Genesys Desktop SIP Endpoint.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:


Real-time Communications (RTC) Client API is now installed by the IP. Previously, you had to install the RTC Client API manually.


Genesys Desktop SIP Endpoint now correctly starts when an agent logs out and then logs in again. Previously, Genesys Desktop SIP Endpoint would not start after agent logout in certain scenarios. (ER# 216813902)


Supervisor: Genesys Desktop now supports SIP Monitoring if Genesys Desktop SIP EndPoint is used. Previously, you had to use SIP HardPhone if you wanted to use the SIP supervisor monitoring features. (ER# 41549896)

This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between Release 7.5 or earlier releases and the initial 7.6 release:


An agent logged in as a SIP user, using Genesys Desktop SIP Endpoint, no longer sees the following message in the status bar when the SIP endpoint is still functioning correctly: Genesys Desktop SIP Endpoint is not responding. Restart the application. Previously, this message may have been displayed in error, and it was actually not necessary to restart SIP Endpoint. (ER# 105502760)
