The following information applies to Genesys 8.0.x software and is important for you to note:

Genesys follows applicable third-party redistribution policies to the extent that Genesys solutions utilize functionality of commercial or non-commercial third parties. For specific information on any third-party software used in this product, see the Read Me.

The AIX operating system uses a default memory allocation model. If the allocated memory is not sufficient for your application, refer to the Genesys 7 Hardware Sizing Guide for information about increasing the memory allocation.

For MS SQL databases, DB Server requires Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) version 2.8 or later.

For MS SQL databases, DB Server 7.5 or later cannot correctly read international characters that were written to the database if both of the following conditions existed:

To use Outbound Contact Manager (OCM) with Management Framework 8.0, you must have the latest release of OCM 7.6.

To use Genesys Agent Desktop with Management Framework 8.0, you must have the latest release of Genesys Agent Desktop 7.5 or 7.6.

When using redundant Configuration Servers, if the Configuration DB Server terminates while the backup Configuration Server is terminated, and is restarted after the backup Configuration Server is restarted, the primary Configuration Server remains in READ-ONLY mode. Do not attempt to:

Recommendation: Wait until one of the Configuration Servers is fully initialized, or its connection with the database is restored and it is no longer in READ-ONLY mode.

When using Distributed Solution Control Servers, always ensure that each Solution Control Server, either by itself or as part of a high-availability pair, is running on the Host which it controls. Failure to do so can, in some cases, result in unpredictable behaviour of the Solution Control Servers in the Distributed configuration. For example, different Solution Control Servers may start competing for control over applications on the host.

Solution Control Server may stop responding if any log spool files (*.qsp) are deleted while Solution Control Server is running. To avoid this problem, do not delete *.qsp files.

Security Pack on UNIX is located on the Genesys 8.0 Security Pack CD.

If using TLS Security with LDAP external authentication, you must configure all LDAP servers listed in the configuration (including those used as backup servers, and servers in different domains) to use the same SSL certificate.
