The following information applies to Genesys 7.6.x software and is important for you to note:
Genesys follows applicable third-party redistribution policies to the extent that Genesys solutions utilize functionality of commercial or non-commercial third parties. For specific information on any third-party software used in this product, see the Read Me.
Security Pack on UNIX is now located on the Genesys 7.5 Security Pack CD.
If you are using the unilogin.dll
library, and are creating a
customized security banner for display at login, keep in mind the following
limitations:
Accept
button is enabled, even though the
directory content cannot be retrieved.HKEY_USERS\\Software\GCTI\Unilogin\Banner
.
(ER# 149630071)Refer to the Genesys 7.6 Security Deployment Guide for more information about the security banner.
If you are migrating from release 7.5 to 7.6, you do not have to migrate
your Configuration Database to release 7.6. Configuration Server 7.6 is
fully compatible with a 7.5 Configuration Database. However, if you use
applications of type GVP Voice Communication Server
in your
configuration, consider upgrading the Configuration Database to release 7.6,
which corrects an issue related to initialization scripts for this type of
application.
Framework no longer supports backward compatibility of the Keep-Alive Protocol (KPL) for 6.5 clients. Genesys suggests that customers use Advanced Disconnect Detection Protocol (ADDP) instead. Refer to the Framework 7.6 Deployment Guide for information about ADDP.
The Configuration Utilities CD is no longer required and has been discontinued. The Configuration Import Wizard is now available on the Management Framework CD.
You can now customize the log level of log events to suit your particular needs, or even disable a log completely. See the Framework 7.6 Management Layer User's Guide for details.
New users are no longer assigned to an Access Group by default, and must be
explicitly assigned to Access Groups by an administrator or another
authorized user. You can disable this behavior if required, so that persons
of type Agents
are automatically assigned to the Users
Access Group, and other persons (non-agents) are automatically assigned to
the Administrators
Access Group by default, as was the case in
release 7.5 and earlier. See the Genesys 7.6 Security Deployment Guide
for detailed information.
