New in This Release

This release is under shipping control. This section describes new features that were introduced in the initial 8.1 release of Enterprise SDK for .NET.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between Release 8.0 or earlier releases and the initial 8.1 release:

The CompleteConference, CompleteTransfer, and AlternateCall definitions behave correctly when using a single Enterprise SDK instance in server mode. Previously, an exception could be generated in some cases. (ER# 234549881)

The Enterprise SDK has an updated API that changes how you subscribe to statistics. See the Enterprise SDK API Reference for details about these, and other, API changes. Previously, subscribing to more than one instance of a statistic could make it impossible to unsubscribe correctly. (ER# 241931454)

The third party in a conference call on Nortel Communication Server 2000/2100 is now properly identified. (ER# 250577984)

Enterprise SDK now correctly reports that the SetForward and CancelForward features are enabled for SIP Server 8.03 and higher. Previously, invoking those features would cause a timeout. (ER# 260214781)

When the conference master starts SIP recording during a conference call, the DeleteFromConference function is now disabled. Previously, this function was incorrectly enabled for the first party in the conference in this scenario. (ER# 256846756)

Known Issues and Recommendations

This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.

The rich features currently available in the Enterprise SDK were designed for customizing Interaction Workspace and building custom agent desktops, so existing documentation is focused on these tasks. Support for more advanced development goals may seem limited in comparison.

If the Enterprise SDK documentation does not resolve your development issues, please use the developer forums to check for similar concerns and post questions, or use the Discussion pages in our documentation wiki to describe solutions that you have implemented. Custom integrations built with the Enterprise SDK should be validated with Product Management prior to deployment into production to ensure success.

When alternating a consultation call on the LucentDefinity switch, the CompleteTransfer and CompleteConference functions are not allowed from the consultation interaction.

Note: This restriction also applies to the 8.0.x releases of Enterprise SDK for .NET. (ER# 265226954)

When an inbound contact reply e-mail is pulled from a workbin, the workflow data (input queue) can be corrupted by workflow data that was related to the previous inbound e-mail. In this case, the current inbound contact reply e-mail might follow the wrong process when being placed back in the workflow process for post-processing. (ER# 264493281)

Found In: 8.1.000.22 Fixed In:

When handling the structured text property of an inbound e-mail reply that was created with Microsoft Outlook Express, a question mark (?) might appear as the first character. (ER# 264880573)

Found In: 8.1.000.22 Fixed In:

With the Ericsson MX One switch, if the T-Server is stopped or restarted then an Agent can issue a new login request but will still be reported as out of service when the agent's state is queried.

Workaround: Ensure the Agent LoginId is the same as the extension. (ER# 252688401)
