Data Sourcer, when running on the AIX platform, might terminate unexpectedly after a database error or a lost connection to DB Server is experienced while Data Sourcer is writing data chunks. Data Sourcer should be restarted if you experience this problem. (ER# 260640579)

If the [collector
] option activate-new-layouts
is set to false
, Data
Sourcer will not restart data collection for the active layouts belonging to any Tenant that detaches from the
Data Sourcer Application in Configuration Manager and then reattaches to the Data Sourcer Application. In such a
scenario, you must set the [collector
] option activate-new-layouts
to true
to ensure that layouts will activate and Data Sourcer will restart data collection. (ER# 250315436)

In some situations when both Stat Server and DB Server have been disconnected, one Data Sourcer in a Primary/Backup pair may have received chunks not received by the other. This situation may result in "stuck" chunk files, which are present in the Backup Data Sourcer but not in the Primary one. As a result, these chunks are also missing from ODS.
To solve this issue, switch the modes of the two Data Sourcers in Solution Control Interface. This allows the Data Sourcer that has the missing chunks to become the Primary and write the missing data to ODS. (ER# 246714751)

DMA does not enable you to delete newly added time profiles when both the Primary and Backup Data Sourcer applications are running. Instead, you must stop both Data Sourcer applications to delete time profiles within DMA. Genesys, however, does not recommend deleting time profiles or other statistical parameters. (ER# 104297002)
Found In: 7.2.002.01 | Fixed In: |
Data Sourcer does not consistently display the application name of its Configuration Server in the log. Instead, Data Sourcer logs the application name it read at startup for the first—usually the Primary—Configuration Server connected. (ER# 100331)
