thirdparty
folder
that contains redistributable information, including, but not limited to,
licensing information for the open-source third-party components,
used in the particular build of the Data Sourcer.
This directory does not appear if no third-party components require
distribution of additional information about them in a specific release of
Data Sourcer.
Data Sourcer software for different platforms may or may not contain
this subdirectory, because a different set of third-party components
is used for the each platform.
Data Source now accepts an empty value for the option <collector>:<hostname>
.
Previously, Data Sourcer interpreted the empty value as invalid.
(CCA-2065)
Data Sourcer no longer fails after changes to the Switch
object in the configuration layer, including changes to access permissions.
(CCA-2061)
Data Sourcer introduced an ODS schema update for the IBM DB2 that provides additional indexes intended to improve ETL performance.
The ODS upgrade fails if some of these indexes do not contain unique values in the corresponding table columns. Therefore, Genesys strongly recommends: before applying this update to ODS, review the contents of the affected ODS tables and confirm that there is no duplicate data that will lead to the upgrade failure.
The following list contains the affected tables and columns or column combinations, those data must be checked:
Table Name | Unique Index Columns |
OL_OBJECT_TYPE | OBJECT_TYPE_NAME |
OL_STAT_PARAM | PARAMETER_KEY, PARAMETER_NAME |
OL_TIME_PROFILE | TIME_PROFILE_NAME |
OL_STATISTIC_CATEG | STAT_CATEGORY_NAME |
OL_STAT_TYPE | STAT_TYPE_NAME |
OL_REPORT_LAYOUT | LAYOUT_NAME, TENANT_ID |
OL_STATISTIC | LAYOUT_ID, STAT_COLUMN_NAME |
OL_TEMPLATE | LAYOUT_NAME |
OL_TEMPLATE_STAT | STAT_COLUMN_NAME, TEMPLATE_NAME |
Previously, these indexes were present in the ODS schemas for other database platforms, but not for IBM DB2. (CCA-1981)
Data Sourcer now reopens a statistic on Stat Server after a reconnection if the statistic previously failed to open on the other Stat Server from primary/backup pair. (CCA-1892)
This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.
Data Sourcer, running on the AIX platform, may terminate unexpectedly after a database error or a lost connection to DB Server is experienced while Data Sourcer is writing data chunks. Data Sourcer should be restarted if you have experienced this problem. (ER# 260640579)

Data Source may not startup normally, under the rare circumstances, if Configuration Server is not running at the moment when Data Sourcer is started. If you experienced this issue, please be certain that Configuration Server is running, and then restart Data Sourcer. (CCA-1841, ER# 261604887)

If the [collector
] option activate-new-layouts
is set to false
, Data
Sourcer will not restart data collection for the active layouts belonging to any Tenant that detaches from the
Data Sourcer Application in Configuration Manager and then reattaches to the Data Sourcer Application. In such a
scenario, you must set the [collector
] option activate-new-layouts
to true
to ensure that layouts will activate and Data Sourcer will restart data collection. (ER# 250315436)

In some situations when both Stat Server and DB Server have been disconnected, one Data Sourcer in a Primary/Backup pair may have received chunks not received by the other. This situation may result in "stuck" chunk files, which are present in the Backup Data Sourcer but not in the Primary one. As a result, these chunks are also missing from ODS.
To solve this issue, switch the modes of the two Data Sourcers in Solution Control Interface. This allows the Data Sourcer that has the missing chunks to become the Primary and write the missing data to ODS. (ER# 246714751)

DMA does not enable you to delete newly added time profiles when both the Primary and Backup Data Sourcer applications are running. Instead, you must stop both Data Sourcer applications to delete time profiles within DMA. Genesys, however, does not recommend deleting time profiles or other statistical parameters. (ER# 104297002)

Data Sourcer does not consistently display the application name of its Configuration Server in the log. Instead, Data Sourcer logs the application name it read at startup for the first—usually the Primary—Configuration Server connected. (ER# 100331)
