Introduction

This deployment procedure applies to the 7.6.000.28 Hot Fix of Configuration Server, released December 17, 2008. It describes how to deploy RADIUS External Authentication on the Master COnfiguration Server and Configuration Server Proxy, using the package you received from Genesys via FTP.

Deployment Procedure – Hot Fix [12/17/08]

To deploy RADIUS External Authentication on the Master Configuration Server and Configuration Server Proxy, do the following:

1. Install a Master Configuration Server 7.6.000.28 with RADIUS External Authentication. Before continuing, make sure that the following conditions are true:
   
   
   • In the radiusclient.conf file, the RADIUS servers listed in the parameter authserver must be stated as IP addresses, not domain names.
   
   
   • The servers file must contain all of the servers listed in the radiusclient.conf. All server names must be stated as IP addresses, not domain names.


2. Install Configuration Server Proxy 7.6.000.28.



3. Copy the following files from the Master Configuration Server installation directory to the Configuration Server Proxy installation directory:
   
   
   1. dictionary
   
   
   2. libgauth_radius_32.so or libgauth_radius_64.so, as appropriate
   
   
   3. radius.seq
   
   
   4. radiusclient.conf
   
   
   5. servers
   
   
   
4. In the Configuration Server Proxy Application object, configure the following options in the indicated sections, and set them to the specified values:
   
   
   • To configure external authentication, use the following option:
     
     Section: authentication
     Option: library
     Value: gauth_radius
     Change Takes Effect: After Configuration Server Proxy restart.
     
     This option specifies gauth_radius as the section that specifies the output level for debugging information produced by the Authentication Module.
     
     
   • To set the log level for monitoring the connection between Configuration Server Proxy and the RADIUS server, use the following option:
     
     Section: gauth_radius
     Option: verbose
     Value: 0, 1, or 2
     Change Takes Effect: After Configuration Server Proxy restart.
     
     This option is identical to that used by the Master Configuration Server, and is described in the Framework 7.6 External Authentication Reference Manual. Refer to this manual for detailed descriptions of this option.
     
     
5. Restart Configuration Server Proxy.
