You can now log into Configuration Manager only if the application name you provide is that of an Application object of type Configuration Manager. Previously, you could log in using application names of Application objects of other types, such as Interaction Routing Designer or CCPulse. (ER# 254160739)

Configuration Manager now starts if the driver for the Eutectics IPP200 Nortel Softphone is already loaded. Previously, if this driver was loaded prior to starting Configuration Manager, Configuration Manager would not start and the error message Unable to Start Data Manager was generated. You had to start Configuration Manager first and then load the driver, to have Configuration Manager function correctly. (ER# 238804171)

When you are working in the Annex tab of an object that has a large number of sections with many options on that tab, Configuration Manager now takes only milliseconds to apply a filter to the list of options, or to navigate throughout the list of sections (for example, to contract and expand sections). Previously, these activities each took several seconds to complete. (ER# 222237406)

Users who do not belong to the system group ADMINISTRATOR can now invoke the appropriate Configuration Wizard from Configuration Manager to update the properties of any Application object. Previously, only users who belonged to the ADMINISTRATOR system group were able to invoke a configuration wizard. (ER# 212494073)


All DNs created using Configuration Manager are now created with the Use Override check box checked by default. Previously, only those DNs created individually had the check box checked; those DNs created as part of a range did not have the check box checked. (ER# 121147821)

The configuration option inactivity-timeout, used to define the timeout after which an inactive session is closed, is now set in the security section on the Options tab of the Configuration Manager Application object. Previously, this option was set on the Annex tab. (ER# 168481505)


Configuration Manager now launches successfully if, when installing it, you enabled the Security Banner with the following settings:

Previously, when you attempted to launch Configuration Manager, and if none of the documents specified on the Security Banner Documents page could be displayed, the error message appeared anyway, and the only action you could perform was to click the Exit button to cancel the login.

Note: Genesys recommends that if you select Log in without acknowledgement of the banner content, you should not enter any URLs on the Security Banner Error Documents page. Security Banner error messages are not supposed to be displayed to the user if the user is allowed to proceed.

When a new person is created and is not assigned to any Access Group, the title of the warning message that may appear now reads Access Group. Previously, the title incorrectly read Agent Group. (ER# 158478893)


You can now modify a Statistical Day object on any day of the week. Previously, you could save changes to an object only on the same day of the week as when it was created. (ER# 156252204).


You can now launch Configuration Import Wizard from Configuration Manager. Previously, only Configuration Import Wizard 7.1.1 could be launched directly from Configuration Manager. (ER# 144341808).

The editing controls of the check boxes in the Security > Object Permissions > Special Access dialog box now function properly. Previously, the editing controls of those check boxes might seem unresponsive to your action but the new check box settings were accepted. (ER# 158092930)

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between Release 7.5 or earlier releases and the initial 7.6 release:


The length of text in the Name and Display Name fields of Business Attribute objects are no longer limited to what is displayed. (ER# 109658331)


Configuration Manager now supports only one Tenant in the Voice over IP Stream Manager Application object configuration. (ER# 125146821)


Configuration Manager now correctly synchronizes the port information between primary and backup server applications. Previously, you had to manually synchronize the port information. (ER# 91571089)


When adding a server application to the Connections list of an Application's configuration, Configuration Manager now verifies if the server to which you are connecting is already connected to the Application by either its backup or primary server mate, and, if it is, Configuration Manager generates a warning message. (ER# 47990172)


Statistics parameters of the Statistical Day object can now be modified. (ER# 108825771)

Known Issues and Recommendations

This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.


Configuration Manager will not launch successfully if, when installing it, you enable the Security Banner with the following settings:

When you attempt to launch Configuration Manager, if none of the documents specified on the Security Banner Documents page can be displayed, the error message appears as the Security Banner, and the only action you can perform is to click the Exit button to cancel the login.

Workaround: If you select Log in without acknowledgement of the banner content, do not enter any URLs on the Security Banner Error Documents page. Security Banner error messages are not supposed to be displayed to the user if the user is allowed to proceed with the login.

However, the new check box settings will actually be accepted after the Special Access dialog box is closed. You can confirm the new settings in the Object Permissions dialog box or after reopening the Special Access dialog box. (ER# 158092930)

Configuration Manager may become unstable when attempting to open the Dependency tab of an application. (ER# 154746917)

The field Host Certificate in the Application Properties dialog box is not updated dynamically when the certificate of the corresponding Host changes. (ER# 104513195)
