Corrections and Modifications
There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in this release in the initial 8.0 release of CCPulse+.
CCPulse+ now has a new Property Page in the Settings Dialog (Grid Properties page). On this page, users can change the colors and font properties (name, size and bold\normal) on the Grid View. All changes are applied when the user presses the OK
or the Apply
button. All settings on this page are stored in
the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GCTI\CallCenter\PulseGridProperties
section of Windows registry. However, for backward compatibility, CCPulse+ supports the GridFontSize
option in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GCTI\CallCenter\Attributes
section.
The following algorithms have been implemented:
GridFontSize
option is absent, or set to a value of 0
, the font name will be the system default menu font name (usually Tahoma
), and the font size will be the system default menu font size (usually 8
).GridFontSize
is present, and not set to a value of 0
, the font name will be the system default menu font name (usually Tahoma
), and the font size will be the value set for the GridFontSize
option.GridFontSize
options is ignored, the font name and the font size will be set with the values in the Grid Properties. Users may also set the bold
check box in the Grid Properties.
(ER# 252475006)
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
CCPulse+ now calculates the row height in the Grid View by using the height of the fonts. (ER# 218936355)
CCPulse+ now supports query timeouts if you are using Configuration Server 8.0 and Configuration Manager 8.0.200.x or later. A query timeout is configured in the Data Mart Database Access Point. (ER# 250927110)
CCPulse+ now properly establishes a connection with a heavily-loaded DB Server that is shared between CCPulse+ and other Genesys applications. Previously, CCPulse+ generated an error message containing the text Registration with the DB Server failed
. (ER# 246034924)
CCPulse+ now makes recently imported templates available to the Workspace that is currently loaded. (ER# 243720233)
CCPulse+ Workbook may now be stored in the Windows registry. (ER# 254857939)
CCPulse+ may now store, load, and show thresholds applied to particular objects. (ER# 255835153, ER# 255835159)
CCPulse+ 8.x now saves changes made to definitions for existing formulas and definitions of new formulas when the Binary or XML template storage format is used. (ER# 259358711)
CCPulse+ now correctly handles the DisableRowColVisibilityChange
option. (ER# 259123673)
CCPulse+ no longer incorrectly generates a (-1.#IND00000)
value in formulas when the formula uses a statistic value of zero or an invalid value. (ER# 256331555)
CCPulse+ no longer incorrectly loads workspaces when the WorkspaceAutoLoad
option is set to a value of true
. (ER# 256500491)
CCPulse+ no longer terminates unexpectedly or generates unexpected errors when attempting to create an historical view. As well, the DATAMART
database now contains data that was previously missing for some statistics configured in the template used to create views. (ER# 260136786)
CCPulse+ no longer terminates unexpectedly when an application specified connection with a Database Access Point is configured without a DB Server application. (ER# 259759416)
CCPulse+ no longer propagates certain thresholds, that are applied to one object in the view, or to all objects in the view when a Workspace is loaded from the Binary or XML storage formats. (ER# 256329826)
CCPulse+ 8.0.x can automatically hide rows that were previously hidden and saved in a CCPulse+ 7.5.x Workspace. (ER# 258543704)
CCPulse+ now correctly formats a floating point number and duration values that are generated as the result of a formula evaluation. (ER# 258358408, ER# 258358381)
CCPulse+ now correctly handles the DisableHideShowActionsOnGraph
option. (ER# 259123680)
The cfx4032.ocx
file is now properly registered by the installation wizard on Windows Vista. (ER# 258976955)

New in This Release
Corrections and Modifications
There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in the initial 8.0 release of CCPulse+.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between Release 7.5 or earlier releases and the initial 8.0 release:
CCPulse+ now correctly displays statistics and the Dynamic virtual agent group (VAG) Membership view window when the connection to Stat Server is not available. In previous releases, when a view was activated (or Workspace was opened) while the connection to Stat Server was not available, you would see empty or "N/A" statistics, and the Dynamic VAG membership view window may not have of appeared at all. (ER# 246114558)
In previous releases, when uninstalling CCPulse+, the CfgSvr.ocx
file was incorrectly unregistered by the installation wizard, causing other Genesys applications, such as Outbound Contact Manager, to not start. This release corrects this issue. (ER# 209353410)
CCPulse+ now correctly displays the grid’s column title and sorting direction indicator (either the up or down arrow) simultaneously during view sorting. In previous releases of CCPulse+, the column title was replaced by the sorting direction indicator when the grid was sorted by column title. (ER# 62975)
CCPulse+ now correctly displays the About CCPulse+
screen, which you can access from the Help menu. In previous releases, CCPulse+ displayed the incorrect release number. (ER# 209043931)
Unlike previous releases of CCPulse+, which used a single window (with tabs) to display the Extended Status
Window and the Capacity
Window, the current release uses a separate window for each. (ER# 241654120)
This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.
CCPulse+ may incorrectly sort columns with numbers. CCPulse+ always interprets the data in a Table View as a string, so data may be sorted incorrectly. (ER# 256799528)
Found In: 8.0.000.36 | Fixed In: |
Use the Window>Windows...
menu item to access the views for tabs that are not currently visible in the workbooks tabs area. (ER# 259052336)

Currently, a CCPules+ user cannot change the height of a column header with the mouse or set multiline header items. (ER# 259052309)
Found In: 8.0.000.36 | Fixed In: |
CCPulse+ currently does not allow certain symbols to be used in a statistic name. When you attempt to use these symbols, the following error message appears:
A name cannot contain any of the following characters: ^ & * + = | \ [ ] : ; , ? " / < >
. Avoid using these symbols in statistic names. (ER# 260177811)
Found In: 8.0.000.36 | Fixed In: |
When a threshold is applied to statistics from any category except the CurrentState
category, only a change in the current statistical value activates the threshold. If the value does not change after a threshold was applied, CCPulse+ does not execute the threshold. To see the correct status of the threshold, you can deactivate and activate the view again, reload the workspace, or wait for the statistical value to change. (ER# 260462621)
Found In: 8.0.000.36 | Fixed In: |
CCPulse+ may show an incorrect number of active thresholds in the Environment Information. If the precise number of thresholds is needed, please restart CCPulse+. (ER# 256329854)
Found In: 8.0.000.36 | Fixed In: |
CCPulse+ may not allow you to save your Workspace after you have deactivated some views. Should this occur, change the state of your Workspace and try to save it again. CCPulse+ should now save your Workspace correctly. (ER# 244103471)
Found In: 8.0.000.28 | Fixed In: |
The cfx4032.ocx
file is not registered by the installation wizard on Windows Vista. In order to avoid this problem, run the CCPulse+ setup program in elevated access mode by right-clicking the CCPulse+ executable file to open the context menu and then selecting Run as administrator
. (ER# 258976955)
Found In: 8.0.000.28 | Fixed In: 8.0.000.36 |
On Windows 2003, CCPulse+ hangs during login if Configuration Server is stopped. (ER# 250927105)
Found In: 8.0.000.28 | Fixed In: |
When you open CCPulse+, the keyboard commands (such as, CTRL+N or ALT+O) used to invoke menu items (such as, New or Open) without the use of a mouse, do not respond. You must first click on any menu option with your mouse, and then the keyboard commands will function correctly. Refer to Reporting 8.0 CCPulse+ Help for a full listing and description of these keyboard commands. (ER# 252001625)
Found In: 8.0.000.28 | Fixed In: |
In certain situations, CCPulse+ may fail to establish connection with a heavily-loaded DBServer that is shared between CCPulse+ and other Genesys applications. In this case, it generates an error message containing the text Registration with the DB Server failed
. As workaround for this issue, the CCPulse+ application should be configured to use a dedicated DB Server. (ER# 246034924)
Found In: 8.0.000.28 | Fixed In: 8.0.000.36 |
CCPulse+ does not update the Real-Time view when changes not affecting group membership are made in Configuration Server to members of a group (Agent Group, DN Group, or Place Group). This also occurs with Virtual Agent Group dynamic membership Real-Time view when agent application changes are not affecting membership. (ER# 244674880)
Found In: 8.0.000.28 | Fixed In: |
When the GS.dll
file is not registered, CCPulse+ may display an incorrect message about the invalid location of the Templates.stg
and Workspaces.stg
files. If you receive this message, you must reinstall CCPulse+. (ER# 237358801)
Found In: 8.0.000.28 | Fixed In: |
The CCPulse+ Capacity
Window may seem to disappear when you switch from Full Screen mode to Window mode. Should this occur, you can make the CCPulse+ Capacity Window reappear by using the View
menu or by pressing an accelerator key (F7, F8, F9 or F10). (ER# 238038611)
Found In: 8.0.000.28 | Fixed In: |
When the IgnoreNewObjectNotification
option is set to False
and you open a new Workspace, CCPulse+ may display a dialog box asking you to save changes to an existing but unopened Workspace. Click Yes
to continue. This erroneous message does not impact CCPulse+ functionality. (ER# 243552802)
Found In: 8.0.000.28 | Fixed In: |
If you add new templates using the Import/Export Utility, you must restart CCPulse+ to make the templates available for use. (ER# 243720233)

In large environments (containing thousands of objects), the WorkspaceAutoLoad
CCPulse+ configuration option may not work. Genesys recommends that you configure CCPulse+ user permissions to limit user access to the necessary data only in order to prevent CCPulse+ from reading large amounts of Configuration Server data upon startup. (ER# 121871260)
Found In: 7.5.000.06 | Fixed In: |
CCPulse+ only reads the Tenants monitored by Stat Server on startup. This limitation also applies for all CCPulse+ configuration options. (ER# 104516876)

Though Stat Server and CCPulse+ properly track Object
name changes from the Configuration Server, after reconnecting to Stat Server, CCPulse+ re-requests opened statistics using the old name, resulting in an error message. Reopening the workspace solves this problem. (ER# 111086514)

Try to avoid using a template with hundreds of statistics, as CCPulse+ will try to create an equal number of charts within the same view. This may cause CCPulse+ to shut down unexpectedly and generate the message, The memory could not be read.
(ER# 43588051)
Found In: 7.2.001.00 | Fixed In: |
Some metrics, such as current values, are not available historically. CCPulse+ may show an Error
for these metrics instead of the values. In this case, Genesys recommends you revise the template. (ER# 33389471)

In a view, column and row numbers are not associated with a specific statistic in the template. As a result, if you hide a column in your view and later add a column to the template that would appear before that existing column, the column numbers adjust accordingly. After doing this, when you create your view using this updated template, a column for a different statistic will be hidden rather than the previous one. CCPulse+ does not store information about which template’s statistic currently shows in a respective row and column. (ER# 24817436)
Found In: 7.1.000.10 | Fixed In: |
CCPulse+ may display empty logical grouping items in the Call Center objects
pane or in the Configuration Wizard. (ER# 91639)
Found In: 7.1.000.02 | Fixed In: |
In some cases, CCPulse+ may show an incorrect metric description on the Template Wizard's Historical Associations
tab. (ER# 83103)
Found In: 7.0.100.02 | Fixed In: |
Depending on the RDBMS, CCPulse+ may not be able to build historical reports if you select too many objects. For example, the Oracle RDBMS sets a limit of 1,000 objects. Selecting objects greater than the limit may yield an error similar to the following:
ORA-01795: maximum number of expressions in a list is 1000(ER# 17215951)
Found In: 7.0.000.03 | Fixed In: |
During view sorting, the grid’s column title will be replaced with the sorting direction indicator (either the up or down arrow). Both the grid title and the indicator cannot be displayed simultaneously. (ER# 62975)
