Corrections and Modifications

Supported Operating Systems

The operating systems supported by this release are listed in the Contents, above.

New in This Release

This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain any new features or functionality.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:

Primary and backup T-Servers now run correctly according to their roles if, during a switchover, the primary and backup T-Servers get disconnected, and the connection is then restored for both. Previously in this scenario, the backup T-Server incorrectly notified its clients that its role changed to primary while it remained running in backup mode. (TS-10608)

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:

T-Server now reads and reloads a large number of configured Access Number Codes more efficiently, without disrupting its normal operation. Previously, while reading the codes at startup and after reconnecting to Configuration Server or Configuration Proxy and the subsequent configuration data reloading, T-Server would stop processing messages from a CTI link, which resulted in T-Server disconnection. T-Server no longer uses External Routing Points that are reported as out of service. (ER# 234783803)

The list of valid values are true, false, and [matching-context-type], where [matching-context-type] is the switch-specific value. For SIP Server, it is sip. The default value is true. The Advanced Disconnect Detection Protocol (ADDP) now works correctly between the primary and backup T-Servers operating in Hot Standby mode. (ER# 180586021)

When operating in a multi-site environment, T-Servers now correctly reconnect with each other. Previously in some scenarios, T-Server would not always reestablish the lost connection. (ER# 214996541)

T-Server no longer reports the Can't send message to location with null primary server error message in the log file when Genesys Interaction Concentrator (ICON) disconnects from T-Server. Previously, this internal message caused a minor increase in T-Server memory utilization, which had no impact on the production environment. (ER# 216420462)

New in This Release

There are no restrictions for this release. This release does not contain new features or functionality.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:

T-Server no longer populates the host and port parameters for its backup T-Server when configured in Warm Standby mode. Previously, primary T-Server configured in Warm Standby mode mistakenly populated the host and port parameters of backup T-Server in response to a newly connected client. These parameters misled the client about T-Server's redundancy mode and instructed T-Library to attempt to connect to the Warm Standby backup T-Server, whose port is always closed in Warm Standby mode. There are no restrictions for this release. This release does not contain new features or functionality.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:

When operating in a multi-site environment with more than 10 T-Servers, T-Server now correctly processes a TQueryLocation (MonitorAllLocations) request, which requires creation of an extensive TKVList. Previously, this issue would affect T-Server performance and led to excessive memory and network bandwidth usage. (ER# 177518844)

T-Server now correctly reconnects to a Configuration Server backup component after a Configuration Server (or Configuration Server Proxy) switchover. (ER# 174308741)

T-Server no longer has a memory leak problem that occurred every time when an option of type flags (for example, log-trace-flags) is changed. (ER# 170786283)

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between release 7.5 or earlier releases and the initial 7.6 release:

In a multi-site environment with the ISCC/COF feature enabled, T-Server no longer processes a call more than once. Previously, this could result in mismatching call data. (ER# 107168816)

Known Issues and Recommendations

This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.

T-Server does not apply at startup any ADDP-related settings configured for the connection between primary and backup T-Servers. The suggested workaround is to make modifications to the ADDP-related settings after T-Server starts, then T-Server will process and apply the settings correctly. (ER# 180586021)

Found In: 7.6.008.03 Fixed In: 7.6.008.11

When operating in a multi-site environment with more than 10 T-Servers, during processing a TQueryLocation (MonitorAllLocations) request from a T-Server client, T-Server creates an extensive TKVList, which may affect T-Server performance and lead to excessive memory and network bandwidth usage. (ER# 177518844)

Found In: 7.6.008.03 Fixed In: 7.6.008.06

T-Server may not correctly reconnect to a Configuration Server backup component after a Configuration Server (or Configuration Server Proxy) switchover. (ER# 174308741)

Found In: 7.6.008.03 Fixed In: 7.6.008.06

If the Client-Side Port Definition feature is enabled during T-Server installation, at startup time T-Server will report warning messages in its log regarding command-line parameters related to this feature. Ignore these messages.

Found In: 7.6.008.03 Fixed In:

The value of all-calls of the ani-distribution configuration option must be used only when requested by Genesys Technical Support.

Found In: 7.6.008.03 Fixed In:

This release of T-Server has a memory leak problem that occurred every time when an option of type flags (for example, log-trace-flags) is changed. (ER# 170786283)

Found In: 7.6.008.03 Fixed In: 7.6.008.06

In a multi-site environment with the Event Party Propagation feature enabled, T-Server may report incorrect values for DNRole attributes in EventPartyAdded, EventPartyChanged, and EventPartyDeleted messages. (ER#s 77026025, 65234671)

Found In: 7.5.008.00 Fixed In:

In a multi-site environment with switch partitioning or intelligent trunks, enabling the ISCC/Event Party Propagation (ISCC/EPP) feature may result in duplicate EventPartyAdded, EventPartyChanged, and EventPartyDeleted messages. Since duplicate events are known to cause problems in other Genesys solutions, ISCC/EPP is not currently supported in such environments. (ER# 92590894)

Found In: 7.5.008.00 Fixed In:

Even though the attribute ThirdPartyDN is documented as always being present in EventPartyAdded, EventPartyDeleted, and EventPartyChanged messages, T-Server sometimes does not include it with these events when they are propagated to remote T-Servers (ISCC's Party Events propagation). In addition, although OtherDN is an optional attribute, it is also not included in these events. (ER# 100376)

Found In: 7.1.006.00 Fixed In:

If a TNetworkConsult request is made while a previously initiated TNetworkConsult operation is still in progress, and the second request specifies a different destination DN than the first request, subsequent EventNetworkCallStatus messages will report incorrect values for AttributeNetworkOrigDN and AttributeNetworkDestDN. (ER# 15366731)

Found In: 7.1.007.01 Fixed In:
