The following information applies to Genesys 8.1.x software and is important for you to note:
Genesys follows applicable third-party redistribution policies to the extent that Genesys solutions utilize functionality of commercial or non-commercial third parties. For specific information on any third-party software used in this product, see the Read Me.
Universal Contact Server (UCS) 8.1.1 and E-mail Server 8.1.2 no longer require the Java Environment and Libraries for eServices and UCS component. However the 8.1 Configuration Wizards and the 8.0.1 Installation Starter included in this release have not been updated to take account of this. Because of this, before running Installation Starter on Windows, you must install JDK in a version greater or equal to 1.6.026 and less than 1.7.
The Configuration Wizards update options that have been changed or added up to the 8.0.21 release, but not later. For release 8.1.0 or later, you must refer to the latest eServices 8.1 Reference Manual and adjust your configuration options manually.
The 8.1.0 Configuration Wizards create an option called webapi-port
for Chat Server and E-mail Server,
but this option is not supported in release 8.1.x.

The Multimedia Configuration Wizard includes the following sequence:
dbprocess_name
has the default value ./dbclient_sybase
on the template, but Multimedia does not support Sybase.
As a workaround, do any one of the following:
dbprocess_name
to
one of the RDBMS that Multimedia supports:
./dbclient_db2, ./dbclient_msql,
or ./dbclient_oracle.
