The following information applies to Genesys 8.0.x software and is important for you to note:

Starting with release 7.5, the Common Wizard Component Set is no longer required. You now install configuration wizards from the appropriate product DVD, and run the Wizards from a common Wizard Manager or Configuration Manager.

For more detailed information, see the Framework Wizard Advisory.

The Media Configuration Wizard now supports deployment of all T-Servers delivered on the Media DVD.

Starting with release 7.6, T-Server supports the Client-Side Port Definition feature. Activation of this feature requires you to supply client parameters, which Genesys recommends be done via the Genesys Installation Wizard. See the Genesys 7.6 Security Deployment Guide for details.

In release 7.6, Media Configuration Wizard does not support the Client-Side Port Definition feature configuration. When installing T-Server in an environment where there will be a port-restricted firewall between T-Server and Configuration Server, you must initially configure and install such a T-Server manually.

Starting with release 8.0, the Wizard Common Set is no longer supported on the Windows 2000 operating system. You will not be able to configure pre-8.0 T-Servers from the 8.0 DVD on that operating system. (ER# 234762271)

When using the Media Wizard to configure 8.0 T-Servers, the section extrouter, in the Advanced Properties of a T-Server Application object, cannot be edited. After the T-Server installation, use Configuration Manager to complete the T-Server configuration. (ER# 231183021)

Media Configuration Wizard incorrectly refuses to accept empty Association numbers for DN ranges during installation. The workaround is to define Association numbers equal to the DN numbers if other associations are not required. (ER# 235991841)
