The following information applies to Genesys 7.5.x software and is important for you to note:

Starting with release 7.5, the Common Wizard Component Set is no longer required. You now install configuration wizards from the appropriate product CD, and run the Wizards from a common Wizard Manager or Configuration Manager.

For more detailed information, see the Framework Wizard Advisory.

The Media Configuration Wizard now supports deployment of all T-Servers delivered on the Media CD.

Media Configuration Wizard 7.5, when used in a release 7.2 or earlier configuration environment, fails to complete the one-step configuration and deployment in hot standby High-Availability mode of any T-Server that requires HA Proxy in order to operate in this mode.

The problem occurs on the T-Server Summary page when a redundant pair of T-Servers is configured in one step. Clicking Next or Finish on that page results in an error message and the configuration cannot be completed.

The affected T-Servers include:

For a complete list of affected T-Servers and their versions, refer to the table "T-Server Support of the Hot Standby Redundancy Type" in your T-Server Deployment Guide.

Workaround:

Use two-step deployment to configure primary and backup T-Servers, as follows:

  1. While deploying one of the listed T-Servers with the Configuration Wizard, do not select the option Configure a backup for this application. Complete the Wizard to create only the primary instance of the T-Server application and all related configuration objects.

  2. In Configuration Manager, use the Wizard > Configure context menu on the primary T-Server configuration object to open its Properties dialog box. On the Backup Server tab, click Install Backup Server to launch the Configuration Wizard to configure and deploy the backup T-Server.
