Deploying GKC Content Management Server
UCS 9.1 requires the Content Management Server (CMS) component from Genesys Knowledge Center (GKC).
- Install CMS.
- Configure the CMS cluster.
- Confgure a CMS Load Balancer RAP.
- Optionally, configure a secure connection to CMS.
Using this procedure, install CMS. Use the application templates provided for CMS and Knowledge Center cluster.
Configure the CMS cluster
Using the procedure on this page, configure the CMS cluster.
Additionally, you must add the following sections and options values on the cluster application:

Configure a CMS Load Balancer Resource Access Point (RAP)
In release 9.1 UCS no longer accepts a direct connection to the CMS application, but requires a connection to a CMS Load Balancer RAP which must have the following options set in its [resource] section:
Configuring a Secure Connection (HTTPS) to CMS
- Configure the secured HTTP port in CMS as described here.
- In the CMS Load Balancer RAP (Resource Access Point) used in the UCS application or UCS cluster application for connection to CMS, configure the secure default port. The certificate used by the CMS Load Balancer RAP (or by Genesys Knowledge CMS if the RAP is configured with the host and port of CMS itself and a real external Load Balancer is not used in the deployment) should be in the Trusted Root Certificate Authority used by UCS.
- In either the UCS application or the UCS cluster application, configure the connection to CMS's secure port via a Resource Access Point (RAP). The RAP application needs to be configured to point to the host and port of the Load Balancer that will distribute these requests among Knowledge Center CMSs. If you use a single CMS, the RAP can point directly to this CMS.
- Restart UCS.
