What's New

This release contains the following new features and enhancements:

  • The BDS Control utility (Brsctl.py) now supports a new key, --force-yes for the migration command. When set (brsctl.py migration --force-yes), this key suppresses the migration confirmation prompt. (CBILL-4894)

Resolved Issues

This release contains the following resolved issues:

The BDS Control utility (Brsctl.py) restore command now correctly restores configuration files that do not include the global > GWS section (the gws parameter in the config_template now has optional=True). Previously, the restore command always created the GWS section, regardless of whether it was needed. (CBILL-5005)

The global configuration parameter rate_table_path is no longer mandatory for on-premises deployment modes. (CBILL-4850)

BDS now uses symmetric encryption to encrypt and decrypt extraction and transformation files. Symmetric encryption is always enabled for on-premises deployments. (CBILL-4829)

The BDS Control utility (Brsctl.py) migration command no longer requires that the version_to attribute be specified. (CBILL-4767)

Upgrade Notes

No special procedure is required to upgrade to release 9.0.005.02.
