Transferring Calls

When you need to transfer a caller to another agent, you have a few choices for what type of transfer you want to make:

  • Transfer—Redirects the call instantly to another contact.
  • Confer—Starts a voice conference with the current caller and another contact, meaning that all three of you are on the call.
  • Consult—Starts a consultation with another contact before transferring or conferencing the call to that contact.

How to Consult, Conference, or Transfer Calls

On the Genesys Media Bar, click the icon for the type of transfer that you want. In the Team Communicator, click the name of another agent in Ready state.


Proceed with the transfer according to which type that you chose.
