What's New in the Billing Data Server User's Guide

This page lists major changes in the document in each release.

9.0.003.01

  • Enhanced configuration migration support — The BDS Control utility supports a new command, migrate, which will enable you to migrate configuration information when you upgrade to future releases from release 9.0.003.01 or later. For more information, see Configuration: the Control utility. (CBILL-4264)

9.0.002.07

9.0.002.01

9.0.001.05

  • Data encryption enhancements — The Billing Data Server (BDS) Control utility (Brsctl.py) now accepts a command, decrypt, that you can use to decrypt extract or transform files. For more information, see Configuration: the Control utility.
  • Daily enabled seat reporting — BDS now generates a 'daily' version of the Enabled seats detailed report. For more information, see Enabled / concurrent seats detailed report.

9.0.001.01

  • Usage statistics — BDS now provides the ability to aggregate peak usage data over configurable reporting intervals. New parameters in statistic.py control the reporting interval over which this data is aggregated; for more information, see Metric statistics.

9.0.000.43

  • Metric enhancements:
    • A new metric, Genesys SIP Interaction, counts the number of agents with voice sessions registered on switches of type 72 (SIP Switch or SIP Cluster), and who handle interactions during the reporting period. For more information, see Genesys SIP Interaction.
    • The scope of the metric Genesys CIM Premise Users has changed to global. This means that BDS now produces one file for each tenant for a given metric, regardless of how many regions are defined for the tenant.

9.0.000.29

  • General Datasets template enhancements — Two new fields are introduced:
    • version — shows the version of the template creation, or last update. Default value: 9.0.000.28.
    • scope — indicates the scope of the dataset (global | location | region), where:
      • global — a single dataset is extracted for the day.
      • location — a separate dataset is extracted for each location that is defined for the tenant.
      • region — a separate dataset is extracted for each region that is defined for the tenant.

9.0.000.26

  • GIM Voicemail Reporting Enhancements — BDS now generates detailed reports for each GIM-based voicemail (voicemail_boxes_gim) transformation. See BDS configuration.
  • Voicemail Reporting Enhancements — BDS now generates detailed reports for each SIP voicemail (voicemail_boxes) transformation. See BDS configuration.

9.0.000.22

  • New data handling options — BDS now offers enhanced options to more easily control how data is handled in premise (subscription) mode (whether it is uploaded to S3, or only stored locally), and to allow a wide range of usage metrics to be tracked. A new Premise section in the configuration .json file provides parameters to enable these options. For more information, see the Billing Data Server Deployment Guide.
  • Oracle support is now optional — Oracle support is no longer automatically installed with BDS. For information about how to add Oracle support, see the Billing Data Server Deployment Guide.
